Governor Newsom announced Friday, April 24 the launch of a first-in-the-nation “Restaurants Deliver: Home Meals for Seniors” partnership with counties, cities, and Tribes.
Houston Food Bank and its Partners provide essential services and we will continue to do so. Hundreds of thousands of people are counting on the organization and its Partners now, and this need will only heighten if the COVID-19 situation worsens. The people we serve almost by definition do not have food reserves. We will remain operational, while utilizing the best available safety precautions.

The Clark County School District (CCSD) will continue providing breakfast and lunch to students during the closure of our schools. Starting Monday, April 6, CCSD’s 36 food distribution sites will be serving meals at a new time from 9 a.m. until noon. This new time will apply even after spring break.

For everyone’s health and safety, we are offering pre-bagged items in an expedited manner via an outdoor mobile distribution plan (for those in cars and those on foot or bicycle). No waiting room, and no long waits. We are spacing out clients to allow appropriate distancing and ensuring the safety of all involved. Just bring a photo ID.
Like many of you, the novel coronavirus has caused us at Stewpot to evaluate our daily activities and make decisions about how to keep our loved ones safe while continuing to minister to very real needs. The great news is that, during this crisis, Stewpot is still operating. We are still providing essential services, like food, clothing, and shelter to our neighbors in need.
MFN takes donations from multiple sources, and distributes food and goods through 430 member agencies. They, in turn, distribute to recipients in their own communities.

Schools across Alabama are stepping up, implementing new ways to feed students who rely on schools for meals during the extended closures related to the coronavirus pandemic. Meals are available for all children, aged 18 and under. In nearly all cases, the child does not have to be enrolled in a public school in the district in order to receive a meal.
